One of the unique aspects of Chabad's treatment is the longer-term care option we provide. Most clients begin treatment with a 3-month residential stay. This provides a strong foundation for recovery. Clients can then transfer to our sober living and continue with outpatient services for an additional 3 months. This longer-term care facilitates a more complete integration of core clinical work. New habits and ways of thinking have time to be nurtured, assimilated and reinforced. Clients are able to build a sober support network, practice new skills outside of a structured environment, and also to begin to work while they are still in a supportive atmosphere. While longer stays have benefits, shorter stays can be designed to meet the individual needs of our clients. We work with each client to provide discharge planning that will reinforce their growth and progress. We recommend at least one month of residential treatment.
